Loquat fruit are oval to pear shaped with very seasonal availability. The skin, when ripe, is smooth, sometimes downy and peach-toned with red blushed coloring. Its flesh is juicy, tangy and sweet, and its acidity can vary from low to mid acid depending on variety. The fruit bears a few brown seeds in its apricot colored flesh.
